PATRICK’S DAY: The St. Patrick’s Day Dash downtown this morning will bring reroutes for buses including these serving our area – each route number links to the reroute explanation: RapidRide C Line, 21, 131, 132. The reroutes are scheduled to end around 11 am. No local bus routes are on the list to be affected by the St. Patrick’s Day Parade that travels along 4th Avenue downtown starting at 12:30 pm, but if you’re headed downtown, be aware of the road closures.

DESIGN REVIEW DOUBLEHEADER: Two projects go before the Southwest Design Review Board tonight at the Senior Center/Sisson Building. First, 3015 63rd SW, the Alki apartment project previewed here in January, proposed for 11 units and 19 offstreet parking spaces. See the design packet here – including three “massing” options.

This is the Early Design Guidance review, which means a focus on size and shape of the building rather than a deep dive into design details; it starts at 6:30 pm. Then at 8 pm, the board gets its second and potentially final look at 9049 20th SW in South Delridge:

It’s outlined on the city website as a proposal “to expand a building currently under construction. Expansion includes an increase of the building footprint and an additional 3 stories. The proposed uses are 22 apartments, 6 small efficiency dwelling units and 7,777 sq. ft. of office on the ground floor. BE A PUGET SOUND STEWARD: The work is in West Seattle, but tonight’s info session is in Tukwila:

EarthCorps has been working with the Port of Seattle to restore sites along the Duwamish River for the past several years through the Puget Sound Steward program. Puget Sound Stewards improve and sustain natural areas along estuaries, rivers and beaches throughout the Puget Sound Region, including Terminal 105 and Terminal 107 along W Marginal Way. These volunteers work as a team to help EarthCorps keep the Duwamish shoreline healthy, run restoration events, adapt management plans, and educate the community. EarthCorps provides the education and resources to support stewards in their role and stewards commit to volunteer 25 hours throughout the year in return.
